The ideal candidate will possess a unique combination of skills, aptitudes, and attitude. This position requires hands-on experience with search engine optimization techniques. We are looking for someone with a knack for problem solving as well as the ability to look at big picture problems and break them down into constituent parts to achieve a primary objective. You should be able to remain focused and on point without constant supervision (though you'll have to keep your ego in check)!

The Job:

The Research and Development Technician keeps up-to-date on all current trends in the search engine marketing industry and will need to apply this newly found information to existing processes. Additionally, he or she will need to keep up with the search engine industry, researching new trends and helping the R & D department dig down into search engine algorithms to determine what works and what doesn't.    

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of the Research and Development Technician is to work with the existing R & D team to improve ranking performance of individual websites and to identify and integrate current trends and techniques into existing procedures. He or she will also be responsible for staying on top of the technology curve, which means reverse engineering search engine algorithms and documenting in painstaking detail plans of action to improve search engine performance of individual websites. It's also important that he or she strictly adhere to white hat techniques, so that clients are never put at risk of penalization.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics-related, or Programming fields is preferred.

Work experience: A working knowledge of HTML coding and SEO strategies is required. We would also like to see examples of your work.

• Computer skills: the usual plus HTML coding
